Question: You asked.....Can I listen to the WMINA7Radio station on Google Devices?

Our Answer...Maybe! It depends on the age and type of the device. Because WMINA7Radio is a digital station it can be found on the internet. But remember that WMINA is a part of the Live365 Network. Therefore, if you're having difficulty accessing the station try accessing Live 365 first and then search for us, WMINA7Radio.

Question: How do I find WMINA7Radio on Tune-In?

On Mobile: Android: Simply download the Tune-In App from the Google Play Store.

The free TuneIn Radio app is available in the App Store for iPhone, iPod, and iPad. The app requires that your device run iOS 9.3 or later in order to install the latest version and receive updates. The TuneIn Radio Pro app is available for a one-time payment of $9.99, also from the app store. After you complete your download, then search for WMINA7Radio on the Android or Apple App.

On TV: Is there really a TuneIn TV app that lets you listen to the radio on a TV?

Our Answer: Yes, the Samsung Smart TV has access to the TuneIn TV app. Follow these instructions to install it on your Samsung Smart TV. Afterward, you should be able to listen to the radio on the Samsung TV. 

How to: First, go to Smart Hub, then go to the Samsung Apps Store button. Navigate to the "Lifestyle" category and the TuneIn app will appear along with other similar apps, or search for TuneIn in the search box. After downloading the Tune In app then search for us,  WMINA7Radio.

Question: How do I find WMINA7Radio on Roku TV -

Our Answer:  (Note you must first download the Network: Live365) This is the network our station [WMINA7Radio] is affiliated with.

1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
2. Scroll and select Streaming Channels to open the Channel Store.
3. Enter the Live365 keyword in the Search Channels field to find it.
4. Select Add Channel to install the Live365 Channel on your Roku device.
5. If you have a Roku account PIN, you will be required to enter it.

After adding the network Live 365 then search for our channel WMINA7Radio.

Question: You asked.....Can I listen to the WMINA7Radio station on Alexa?

 

Our Answer...Yes! 

(1) But first you must ask Alexa to "turn on the Live 365 Skill." (Live 365 is the Channel server that allows WMINA7 to reach our listeners) 

(2) Then, ask Alexa to "play the WMINA7Radio station." After that, the station should start to play. It's working for 11 people who have tried these instructions.

Urban Gospel & Jazz Gospel

Between the 1890s and 1910s, African-Americans in the South developed a new style of music that came to be known as jazz. The roots of jazz are planted in ragtime, blues, spirituals, work songs, and even military marches. Some believe that jazz grew out of the drumming and Voodoo rituals that took place in New Orleans' Congo Square before the Civil War.

Competing with other music genres throughout the centuries about 185 million adult Americans,  "like and listen to jazz."

As for gospel jazz  - Gospel music is one component, of many, that influenced the birth of jazz – from the African roots to the use of call and response between instruments, to the syncopated beats.

What were the famous black gospel quartet groups?
The Dixie Hummingbirds are probably the best-known of the black gospel quartets, having performed for over 50 years throughout America and Europe. They inspired countless R&B and soul singers, from Jackie Wilson and Clyde McPhatter to Bobby "Blue" Bland and The Temptations.

Duke Ellington was the greatest jazz composer and bandleader of his time. One of the originators of big-band jazz, he led his band for more than 50 years and composed thousands of scores. Ellington was famous for his concerts called Sacred Jazz where his musicians and singers excited the crowds with his form of gospel jazz.

 Welcome to WMINA7Radio where we brighten your day with the richest urban gospel hits and moments of gospel jazz. Sounds of the Clark Sisters, Yolanda Adams, Tasha Cobbs, Tamala Mann Richard Smallwood, and Timothy Wright are just a few offered to get your day off on the right track. Jazzy sounds of gospel musicians Vernard Johnson, Kurt Whalum, Jamie Reid, and Michael English give a sampling of who will flow through your speaker devices. Female vocalists like Lorree K. Slye, Sakia Dian, Denise King, and so many others will be here to sing you through the day. While some of you will get hooked on gospel jazz and urban gospel, some will stop by to hear smooth jazz on the weekend. Although we’re not all gospel and jazz, and even if we were, we can’t play it all, we have enough gospel and jazz musical talents and singers to satisfy. Don't be surprised to hear an occasional oldie, a love ballad, a Motown reflection song from yesteryear, or even a movie tune.
